Our Founder of RDL, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, is Gavin Embry [GE]. His bachelor degrees in science and engineering were BS in Mechanical Engineering and BS in Naval Science & Tactics from the University of Texas, Austin TX. At the age 16, he enrolled in the Southeast Missouri State Teachers College (now called Southeast Missouri State University). Within 8 months, he was selected by the United States Navy to attend the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps [NROTC] at the University of Texas, Austin TX. There, in less than two years (rather than the normal five years), he earned his first degree and was commissioned as Ensign, USNR (DE), in the upper five percent of commissioned naval officers. (His naval curriculum, degree and commission are exactly the same as granted at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis MD, and was awarded by the President of the United States, to GE, qualified as both a deck [D] and engineering officer [E].) He later served, at sea, as Navigator, Communications Office, Education Officer, Ships Clerk, Chief of Military Police and Commanding Officer of various USS and USNS ships in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. He also served as Naval Intelligence Officer and Shipping Security Officer for the 15th Naval District (for the Panama Canal and Caribbean Sea). GE's masters degree was granted by the Industrial College of the Armed Forces [ICAF], in Emergency Management of the National Economy, scoring in the upper five percent of graduate, senior, naval and military officers. These degrees are now awarded by the ICAF as Masters of Science in National Resources Strategy. GE also attended the post-graduate level of the University of California, Berkeley CA, studying Organization, Administration, Operations Research, Finance and Public Speaking. SvEE's first project for RDL is to lead the development of technology to control thousands of flocks of up to 500-strong, pilotless, autopilot-equipped Gavin Hawks (autogyros), more or less in the same manner as flocks of migratory birds. Gavin Hawks in flocks need to avoid collisions with other Gavin Hawks, flocks of Gavin Hawks, other Gavin Hawks in the same flock, and (stray) aircraft. (Pending a mutual assistance agreement with the military and naval forces, they may also need to avoid and defend themselves against possible air-to-air and ground-to-air missiles. GiaBats and SuperGiaBats (both designed by RDL) can also be used for defence of Utopia and Gavin Hawks.
During World War II, many scientists, including Albert Einstein, initiated and supported plans for Emergency Management of the National Economy of the United States. They succeeded in designing and building the first atomic bombs, and building war weapons (including totally replacing production of new private cars) for four years.
Both plans made major contributions to making sure German, Italian and Japan fascists could not destroy civilization. This was the main subject of GE's post graduate studies.
Ninety-nine point ninety-nine percent of today's scientists now agree on the danger to the World, from global warming and the urgency of a solution; But, they have not yet developed a Plan: large, powerful and quick enough, to avoid serious risk of Worldwide extinction of the human species. <<<<<----GE has prepared such a Plan, described on on the pages listed on your left.
