How to get Elected (Again and Again)
RDL has published its Political Manifesto to define what it stands for, and what kind of politicians it supports. If you don’t have a copy, you can read it on:
http://realdiv.tech.officelive.com/Manifesto.aspx .
Of course, reading this and supporting it, is the quickest way to earn our vote and our advice to anyone who consults us about you. There are some other people who influence voters, eg ministers from pulpits, writers for newspapers, actors and newsreaders on television, reporters who relay comments from interviewees etc.
RDL’s goal is to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere.
We need politicians who support the strategies which will help to do that. But, we have to help them to: 1) be elected, 2) support and vote for our strategies, 3) get credited and recognized by the voters, so that they are, 4) reselected and 5) re-elected. We have made a study of when and where this effort is best addressed, to promote success. The first target is 1) London, then 2) England (first steps to promote the effort in), 3) the United Kingdom, followed by 4) the European Union. The next target is 1) Southern California, 2) followed by the 11 Western States, 3) the rest of the United States, 4) Canada, 5) Mexico and 6) the rest of America etc, more or less in that order.
After Europe and America, 1) Pakistan and 2) Indonesia are very important Muslim communities, which need to make economic progress, but in ways that avoid increasing air pollution, while 3) India, 4) China and 5) almost all the rest of Asia (outside Russia, for the moment) are already assured spectacular economic progress. In both situations, the problem is to prevent them, as much as possible, from progressing along the same lines that Europe and America did it, while enjoying their prosperity, based on burning fossil fuels and cutting down trees. In any nation where democracy is in effect, electing the right politicians is a very good move. The right politicians may also be able to influence foreign policy and international trade to encourage the leadership in other countries to choose the right path. Russia, the Middle East, Australia and Africa need much more study, to see how and what they can and will contribute.
Boris Johnson is the most likely first choice, already Mayor of London, (See: www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_Johnson) and Arnold Schwarzenegger, already Governor of California, (See: www.rateitall.com/i-42174-arnold-schwartzeneger.aspx) are good competitors for first choice. Both need a boost in support, to get promoted to Prime Minister of the UK or President of the USA, in two, four or eight years, before they get too old. This is not a real problem for Boris, but there is a promising competitor, David Cameron, (See: www.conservatives.com/tile.do?def=webcameron.index.page) who could ace him out of the race, in less than two years. If successful, David Cameron would be likely to hang on for at least five years more. Arnold’s problem is to get a constitutional reform to let people run who were not born in the USA. The first serious chance is to run in 2012. (BYI: RDL's CEO, GE is also barred until at least 2012, then only if he has been resident of the USA for the five years, prior to 2013, or there was another constitutional reform.) RDL needs to have a discussion with Boris, David and Arnold to see what is the best way to proceed.
